Jim Williamson offers more than two decades of experience in helping some of America’s most respected and progressive companies with their corporate and marketing communications needs.
He has developed successful communications campaigns for such companies as Pixar, E*TRADE, California Pizza Kitchen, NetApp, Logitech, MGM Grand, WageWorks, BEA Systems, TriNet and many others.
Before forming Williamson Communications in 1996, Jim held marketing communications and regional consulting positions for Great-West’s Denver-based US headquarters and William M. Mercer, Inc. He then helped launch Sausalito, California-based Zabit & Associates, Inc. as a founding principal and creative director. The firm quickly gained national acclaim for providing progressive employee and marketing communications solutions that rose above the industry’s status quo.
Throughout his career, Jim's collaborations with other creative professionals have been recognized by such organizations as the Public Relations Society of America, International Association of Business Communicators and the Advertising Federation of America, and featured in Forbes magazine, Pension & Investments, Business Insurance and other industry publications.
Jim was born and raised in Southern California and received his B.A. in English from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. He has lived in San Francisco since 1989, and is currently in treatment for his obsession with the San Francisco Giants.
